What's the WxChallenge?

The WxChallenge is a amicable forecasting challenge among professors, grad students, undergrad students and alum.

So here's what you do. A city is selected and everyone forecasts the: High Temperature, Low Temperature, Maximum 2-min sustained Wind Speed and total amount of precipitation. From everyones forecast a mean forecast is created and called the CONSENSUS. Depending on how your error points very compared to the CONSENSUS forecast determines your score. The more negative the better you are doing!
