I am an assistant professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining UIUC, I worked as a research associate in Penn State's Department of Geosciences and as a NOAA Climate and Global Change postdoctoral fellow in Penn State's Department of Meteorology. I graduated from Purdue University with a PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.

My current research interests include:

1. Climate dynamics

2. Earth system modeling

3. Extreme Events

4. Ocean-atmosphere interactions

5. Uncertainty quantification

6. Data-model fusion

7. Risk analysis

Recent/Ongoing projects focus on:

1. Tropical Cyclones

2. Upper-ocean mixing and dynamics

3. Sea-level rise

4. El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO)

5. Decision making under uncertainty

6. Geoengineering
