Graduate Certificate in Computational Science and Engineering in Atmospheric Sciences

The Computational Science and Engineering certificate program is designed to provide ATMS MS and PhD students an opportunity to develop a solid base in problem solving using computation as a major tool for modeling challenging problems in science and engineering to aid in their graduate research and professional development.

This option is only available to students currently enrolled in the ATMS graduate program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The program is designed so that students can fit it in to their graduate curriculum while also having it applicable to their Atmospheric Sciences graduate degree requirements. To receive a certificate in “Computational Science and Engineering,” which also appears on transcripts and the student's diploma, students must complete the required courses listed below. The Application courses are strongly recommended to be related to the student’s primary field of study.
