Cloud Systems Research Group

We use the latest in satellite, ground-based, and airborne platforms to study the dynamics, microphysics, and climatic impacts of precipitating cloud systems over their life cycle.

Specific research foci of our group include:

  1. Precipitation processes and cloud dynamics

  2. Tropical meteorology and climate

  3. Hydrometeorology, including quantitative precipitation estimation (QPE) and quantitative precipitation forecasting (QPF)

  4. Radar and satellite meteorology

  5. Atmospheric electricity

Feel free to examine the links above to find out more about our research.
