Cloud Systems Research Group

 
 

We use the latest in satellite, ground-based, and airborne platforms to study the dynamics, microphysics, and climatic impacts of precipitating cloud systems over their life cycle.

Specific research foci of our group include:


  1. •Precipitation processes and cloud dynamics

  2. •Tropical meteorology and climate

  3. •Hydrometeorology, including quantitative precipitation estimation (QPE) and quantitative precipitation forecasting (QPF)

  4. •Radar and satellite meteorology

  5. •Atmospheric electricity
