About Me
I am currently pursuing PhD studies in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I am working with Prof. Nicole Riemer and Prof. Matthew West in atmospheric aerosols modeling.
Current Research
The research topic that I am specifically focusing is the effect of black carbon (BC) mixing state on cloud droplet formation and nucleation scavenging. I am using a particle-resolved model, PartMC-MOSAIC, to simulate the evolution of physico-chemical properties of individual particle. With the particle level details from PartMC-MOSAIC model input to a cloud parcel model, we can investigate how the mixing state of aerosol particles affect the cloud formation process and the associated cloud microphysical properties.
PartMC
PartMC, is a particle-resolved Monte Carlo code for amospheric aerosol simulation. For details, you are welcomed to visit PartMC research group website.
