Welcome to my Birding Weather Links!

This site is setup so birdwatchers can easily navigate to weather links pertinent to the Midwest/Great Lakes region. In hopes of educating the public about the effects of weather on bird movements, tutorials will be added about each map, or set of maps, with regards to why one should look at each map to forecast bird movements.

Navigation of this page is simple. Just click on each link to go directly to that page. Indented fields are increasingly more specific pages. The left most links are to the main page of each site. You can easily navigate to each of the links below the "quick links" heading from the main page, but in the interest of connection speed, the quick links to specific data are listed below each heading or sub-heading.

When loops of imagery are available, click on (loop) for the loop to be displayed. Click on the title before (loop), and the current or most recent image will be displayed.

There is an obvious bias on this page to the state of Illinois. This is because the original idea for this website came from a discussion on ILBIRDS or IBET (the Illinois Birds List Serve). Also, I live in Illinois, so that just makes it easier. If there is interest to expand this site to the entire United States, this could be a possibility in the future, but we will let interest dictate the expansion of this site. Email me with your comments about the content and setup of the site, I would love to get input from the viewers of this website. dafekt1ve@yahoo.com
