walt robinson

Walter Robinson graduated with BS and MS degrees in physics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977. He then spent a year in Antarctica studying cosmic radiation. His PhD, from Columbia University in 1985, was an investigation of nonlinear interactions among planetary waves in the stratosphere. He joined the UIUC faculty in 1988, following a 3-year postdoc at the University of Washington.
