Post-doctoral research associate - passive microwave remote sensing in precipitation

The Nesbitt Research Group ( in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking applications for a post-doctoral research associate in the area of passive microwave remote sensing of precipitation. The ideal applicant has experience in passive microwave observations, microwave atmospheric radiative transfer in clouds/precipitation, and experience with ground-based or aircraft-based radiometric instrumentation and calibration. The candidate must have a PhD in atmospheric or related physical sciences at the time of appointment, and be able to participate in field campaign deployments. The Postdoctoral Research Associate is a one-year position funded by NASA with the possibility of extension.
